Genealogical tree of the Zappoli family
Following there is the genealogical tree of the Zappoli family: from Domenico de’ Giorgi called Zapolo, who lived at the end of the 15th century until the latest generations.
Zappoli is a single family surname, which means that all the Zappolis are relatives and most of them descend directly from Domenico de’ Giorgi called Zapolo.
Domenico de’ Giorgi was born in Labante, a place located in Castel d’Aiano (BO) around the end of the 15th century.
Pellegrino called Zapolo was born around the 1510: we know that he lived in Labante and that he married Domenica Nadalini. On 13th January 1552 Silvestro Nadalini sold his land to Pellegrino with a deed of the notary Davide Tonelli from Vergato: this is the oldest legal act found with the name Zappoli.
Around 1530 Andrea, called Zapolo was born, also in Labante. He buys assets with three deeds: in 1552, in 1556 and in 1569.
Giovanni Maria Zapoli was born in 1575 in Labante. He buys assets with deeds in 1607, 1608, 1614, 1617, 1636. The 14th August 1630 he makes a will.

Angelo Zappoli (San Pietro di Roffeno, 8/03/1798) was born from the marriage between Domenico Zappoli and Maddalena Lollini. In 1837 (?) he marries Anna Monari. Angelo Zappoli is a shoemaker differing from the other Zappolis who were all small landowners.
